In addition, we are proud to be one of the inaugural MyData in Practice 2023 awards granted to Vastuu Group's Reliable Employee service which operates in skills data spaces context and provides intuitive and privacy-centric infrastructure and for utilizing personal data in service ecosystems in employment and education.

In 2019 the concept was tested in practice and used MyData succesfully in one recruitment process.
Logistics meet built environment
In the Traficom case, we tested how a human-centric data model works and how information from authorities, such as driving rights, may be transferred between services based on consent.
The goal is that drivers can enter sites without any extra bureaucracy: driver licence information and special qualifications related, are transferred from Traficom to the drivers personal MyData Wallet and then to partner systems. We are putting an emphasis on demonstrating this real-life use case.
Medical research
The challenge faced in medical research is the growing trend of people not wanting to give out their personal ID without strong identification, which increases the risk of not finding enough participants, which decreases the reliability of the research results.
Our solution for consent management enables Oriola to develop operations and build an ecosystem of health information. A more efficient recruitment process will allow a large pool of individuals to be recruited to the research registry. This concept will also significantly reduce the cost associated with managing the surveys, when the participants are managing the processes and responding to surveys on their own devices.
MyData Operator

MyData concept entertains a high-level concept of the MyData operator, a ‘guardian’ infrastructure provider in-between the data providers, data using services and individuals. Operator is a key enabler towards human centred, sustainable data-oriented business development around personal data - it can free up under-utilised personal data for fresh, innovative uses. MyDataShare is an operator platform. It enables requesting in personal data from different sources, against a digitally documented purpose and legal basis, and doesn’t allow access to personal data without individual’s permission. It doesn’t handle the personal data of individuals during the data exchange process.
MyDataShare can be used by entities acting as a MyData operator to connect different systems across public-private and industry vertical boundaries. It is an easy way to add transparency into personal data exchange taking place between organisations - and also to organisation’s new local personal data processing needs, as our first deployment cases which we locally operate under muntiedot.fi demonstrate.

Background
